A note from our founder
Assalamu alaikum,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
CharacterBee began with a simple concern. Our children are growing up with more to read, watch and scroll than any generation before them, yet very little of it is ordered, beneficial or made with them in mind. Many young Muslims learn to recite the Quran long before they understand it, and many families want good books at home but don't know where to start.
So we started with what we could do. We wrote books, checked them carefully, printed them and, with the help of our sponsors, gave many of them away. Aayaath grew from the hope that every child and young person could understand the Quran, one verse at a time. Ilmbee grew from the hope that young children could have a whole library of beneficial books, read in order, each one building on the last.
Along the way we learned that books are only part of the picture. Parents and students need someone to listen, and schools need systems that work. That is why our small team now includes counsellors and developers alongside our writers and editors, and why we try to bring the same care to a school app as we do to a children's book.
Character comes first. That is our tagline, and it is also the test we apply to everything: what we write, how we build, and how we treat everyone who trusts us.
If you are a parent, a teacher, a school leader or a sponsor, I am grateful you are here. Write to us. We would love to hear from you.
